Urea impregnation resin is produced in two forms: liquid and powder. Liquid urea-formaldehyde impregnation resin is a clear resin that creates an adhesive layer, making the surface of decorative papers flawless for subsequent processes.
Liquid resins possess high adhesive strength and lead to increased final product strength. Using an appropriate impregnation resin in decorative papers creates the necessary resistance against pressure and moisture.
The powdered urea-formaldehyde resin is dispersed throughout the various layers of paper and, after heat application, settles uniformly between the paper layers. The powder dissolves in water at a one-to-one (1:1) ratio and increases the resistance of the paper layers by creating a uniform coating.
Urea-formaldehyde resin is produced in both liquid and powder forms, and either type can be used depending on customer needs and production conditions. The urea-formaldehyde resin, with its high solubility, allows for long-term storage.
